Content Creation is an Exercise in Persistence

The argument is simple. If you wish to be a professional writer, blogger, newsletter author, podcast, or, more generally, a professional content creator, you must persist.

With the exception of content prostitution on the deceptively named "Only Fans" website or similar filth purveyors, content creation is an exercise in persistence. The creator —blogger, writer, podcast, vlogger, etc.— must be obstinate in his or her course of action in spite of difficulty, failure, or opposition.

To quote Ray Bradbury, "You must stay drunk on writing so reality cannot destroy you." Or again, to borrow from Samuel Johnson, "What we hope ever to do with ease, we must learn first to do with diligence."

Persistence

Professional content creation is most certainly a viable way to earn a living circa 2025. But it is not an easy way, per se. Rather, like any worthwhile vocation, it takes energy, enthusiasm, and effort —repeated effort.

The creator must make creating a habit, a job, a thing done consistently. This is not to say that one should hammer away at failed tactics or never pivot to find success rather, it is a plea not to give up.
